FAQ

What is sound healing?
Sound healing is a therapeutic practice that uses vibrational sound frequencies to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and support overall wellness. Through instruments like singing bowls, gongs, koshi chimes, and ocean drum, we create harmonic frequencies that help restore balance to your mind, body, and spirit.
What should I expect during a sound healing session?
You'll lie comfortably on a mat or blanket while the practitioner plays various healing instruments around and over your body. Sessions typically last 60-75 minutes and include a brief consultation, relaxation time, the sound bath experience, and integration period. Many clients experience deep relaxation, reduced anxiety, and a sense of renewal.
What should I bring or wear to a session?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and bring a yoga mat, blanket, and pillow if you'd like extra comfort. We provide basic mats and props, but many clients prefer their own for familiarity. Remove jewelry and watches to fully receive the vibrations.
For your comfort and warmth, we recommend wearing a covered swimsuit during our sound healing on water sessions.
Do I need any previous experience with meditation or sound healing?
No experience is necessary. Sound healing is accessible to everyone, regardless of meditation background or musical knowledge. Simply come with an open mind and willingness to relax. Our practitioners will guide you through the entire experience.
Are there any conditions that would prevent me from participating?
Please inform us if you're pregnant, have a pacemaker, metal implants, epilepsy, or sound sensitivity. While sound healing is generally safe, certain frequencies may not be suitable for specific medical conditions. We'll work with you to ensure a safe and beneficial experience.
How often should I attend sound healing sessions?
Frequency depends on your personal goals and wellness needs. Some clients benefit from weekly sessions, while others find monthly visits sufficient. We recommend starting with 2-3 sessions to experience the cumulative effects, then adjusting based on your response.
Can children participate in sound healing sessions?
Yes, children often respond beautifully to sound healing. We offer family-friendly sessions and can adapt our approach for younger participants. Children under 12 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
What's the difference between group and individual sessions?
Group sessions create a shared healing experience in our sound sanctuary, typically lasting 60 minutes with up to 15 participants. Individual sessions offer personalized attention, can address specific concerns, and may include targeted sound therapy techniques tailored to your needs.
How do I prepare for my first session?
Avoid large meals 2 hours before your session and stay hydrated. Arrive 10 minutes early to settle in and discuss any questions or concerns. Set an intention for your healing journey, whether it's stress relief, emotional release, or simply deep relaxation.
What if I fall asleep during the session?
Falling asleep is completely normal and doesn't diminish the healing benefits. The sound vibrations continue to work on a cellular level even while you rest. Many clients find this to be some of the most restorative sleep they've experienced.
